What is the workplace of tomorrow? We know
people will change the way they work — but how?
Join the world's leading futurists at Fuji Xerox's
ne[x]twork — a series of visionary events that
explore the workplace of the future.
Will offices exist?
Over 40% of workers in some of the world's leading organisations do not have a traditional office space. Around 91% of mobile workers check their smartphones in their personal time, and disturbingly, over 60% sleep with their smartphones. Will personal and work time continue to blend?
What devices will we use?
Innovative organisations are already using ubiquitous networks that allow employees to connect with a wide range of devices.
How will information move around?
The document of tomorrow will be 'smart' — 'understanding' the information it carries, its purpose and its audience. It will gather intelligence and data as it moves around an organisation.
How can you prepare for the workplace of tomorrow?
Join ne[x]twork, meet the world's leading futurists, explore the current solutions available and discover the possibilities.
We are working with our event suppliers to ensure that Ne[x]twork is a sustainably managed event. To learn more about Fuji Xerox sustainability, please visit www.fujixerox.com.au/sustainability

Thomas Frey's greatest contribution is being able to help organisations spot
trends, plan for them and take advantage of the opportunities. He will bring
those insights to ne[x]twork and help us plan the workplace of tomorrow.
As the Executive Director and Senior Futurist at the DaVinci Institute, he works closely with the Institute's Senior Fellows and Board of Visionaries to develop original research studies, which enables him to speak on unusual topics, translating trends into unique opportunities.
As part of the celebrity speaking circuit, Thomas continually pushes the envelope of understanding. His keynote talks on futurist topics have captivated people ranging from high level government officials to executives in Fortune 500 companies including NASA, IBM, GE, Hewlett-Packard, Boeing, Capital One, Visa and Ford.
Because his work inspires inventors and other revolutionary thinkers, the Boulder Daily Camera has referred to him as the "Father of Invention". The Denver Post and Seattle Post Intelligencer have referred to him as the "Dean of Futurists".
Before launching the DaVinci Institute, Thomas spent 15 years at IBM as an engineer and designer where he received over 270 awards — more than any other IBM engineer. He is also a past member of the Triple Nine Society (High I.Q. society over 99.9 percentile).
'Offices will be a place that facilitate interaction between staff, where you can
drop in and catch up with colleagues' so wrote Mike Walsh recently in a piece
for Voyeur, Virgin's inflight magazine.
How will this change in physical proximity change organisations culture and what demands will it make on technology and information sharing? Mike will give you his view on the near future of work and some insights into how some organisations are responding.
Mike's expertise is explaining new patterns of consumer behaviour and disruptive technologies in emerging markets. His advisory work and keynote presentations provide unique insights into the growing influence of new markets on breakthrough innovation and business transformation.
A global nomad constantly traveling the world for the best ideas — Mike distills the most relevant insights into tailored keynotes that allow any audience to not only understand, but also start to influence the future direction of their industry.
Mike's new book The Divergence, charts the rise of online consumers in the fast growth BRIC markets. His central contention is that tomorrow's web will be radically different to conventional Western models and will require entirely new engagement strategies. Mike previously ran the market leading consumer insights house Jupiter Research in the Asia Pacific, and held senior strategy roles at News Corporation in both the Australian and Asian markets.
In his current role at Tomorrow, Mike has advised the CEOs and senior management teams of companies such as the BBC, Fujifilm, Richemont, MSN, Star TV, P&G, Televisa, Hutchinson, Philips, Grey Advertising, Schwarzkopf, Roche Pharmaceuticals, BT Financial and HSBC.

Dr. Lawrence A. Rowe is currently President of FX Palo Alto Laboratory (FXPAL),
which is an advanced research laboratory established by Fuji Xerox to
experiment with information technology that will redefine how people work
together to solve business and societal problems.
According to Dr. Rowe, Cloud Computing and the Internet are producing radical changes in the way companies design, manufacture, and sell products whether they are a physical artifact like a copier/printer, a virtual experience like a video game, or a paper or electronic document.
In the early days of computing, processing and storage hardware was prohibitively expensive. But as Moore's Law reduced the cost and size of semiconductor chips and increased performance, the cost of software and the labor to operate the systems became the dominate component in computing expense. The development of cloud computing technology and services is dramatically reducing these costs.
Combining low cost computing, storage, and communication with powerful mobile devices is changing the nature of work and everyday life in the 21st Century. Dr Rowe's presentation will briefly describe this new world and how it will change the way businesses operate and humans interact.
Francois Ragnet is a passionate thinker, challenged by the gap between what
is and what could be in document technologies.
At Xerox Global Services, Francois recognises that the need for a new direction is approaching. When he talks about 'the future of documents', he imagines a time when smart documents will move across enterprises and perfectly integrate with all business processes. He foresees document technologies when 3D visualisations of complex information will be commonplace and office productivity will achieve new heights. To Francois, the future is now.
